Crossing as a Founder

I was wondering if some of you could answer this question. I understand some of this is privileged information - but I know you guys know what to share and what not. So I'll move on ...

The sorority we are trying to get a chapter from is an established national sorority. They have chapters everywhere but in our region, the south. The two nearest full fledged chapters are like, 8 - 10 hours away.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

I wonder, how are we going to cross? I do not expect to know the specifics. But I know that sororities with similar intake processes as our ourganization can sometimes take upwards of 3 weeks to "make" their new members.

Since the sisters who would be "making" us are SO FAR away - how would they do it? These people have school and work. They can't fly down to the south and sit with us for weeks until we are ready to cross. And we can't take a month off school to sit with them.

Can anyone share some generals of the mechanics?

Just curious.

Ditto, Asia. (Though it might be a while!)

I should add, it can be done. My sorority's Alpha Chapter is at the University of Minnesota, then my chapter (Beta) was founded at the University of Oklahoma. The Gamma Chapter is at the University of Louisville. Our newest Colony will be established at the University of Texas-Arlington. Four very wide-spread parts of the country, as you can see! It is not easy, but it can be done.
