And, as was officially announced at Convention: Barbara Bush was initiated into Texas Eta last fall!

Hate to burst people's bubbles but neither Meg Ryan or Sally Fields are members of Pi Beta Phi (at least the ones that we know as prominant actors.... there may be A Meg Ryan who is a Pi Phi but it isn't the one from When Harry Met Sally)

There is a section on the Pi Phi webpage that lists who the notable Pi Phis are..... you'll be impressed at the variety of pioneers in medicine, politics and science...

Margaret Truman as a Pi Phi

I have known--or thought I knew--that for many years. When I was at UCLA in the early 1960s I worked as a hasher (waiter) at Alpha Omicron Pi. I remember hearing the ladies sing a song about Margaret Truman, which for some reason stuck in my memory, as follows:
Mary Margaret Truman was the daughter of the Pres.
She lived in the White House with her "lovely" mother Bess.
She didn't go Theta nor Gamma Phi Beta,
no she was a daughter of Pi Beta Phi.
When her father Harry got the "shoo" in '52
Mary Margaret Truman knew just waht to do.
She went back to Missouri, to work in the brewery,
SO LET'S ALL DRINK BEER!

Yes, Nicole Carter, a California Delta, married John Forsythe. He was the voice on Charlie's Angels, and he played Blake Carrington on "Dynasty". SHE'S WONDERFUL!! and so is he. She is now Nicole Carter-Forsythe. She is a good friend and a HUGE supporter of Pi Phi. We get on the phone and talk for hours.

I believe Sandra is a Pi Beta Phi alumna from MS Beta. Pretty neat!

I'm friends with Jenni Pulos (Jeff Lewis - Flipping Out on Bravo) on facebook and she is a Pi Phi from UCLA ('95). Thought Y'all might wanna know :)

Don't forget Jennifer Garner (Ohio Eta) and Jenna Dewan from step up who was in the USC chapter!

Jenna Dewan, University of Southern California, Channing Tatum's wife and she is a model actress and dancer.

Savannah Guthrie , University of Arizona,American journalist and attorney, working for NBC News Morning show now.

Jennifer Lancaster is a Pi Phi. She wrote Bitter is the New Black and other books that are autobiographical about her working at a Fortune 500 company and then suddenly losing her job. Her books are really funny and often she uses Pi Phi letterheads in her notes in her books. Apparently she was rush chair at her chapter (she went to a Big 10 school but I can't figure out where). Her website is www.jennsylvania.com and in her "About" section there's a picture of her and one of her sisters wearing lettered shirts in front of a boat. The only thing that irks me is that her books advertise her as a "former sorority girl". I'm re-reading Bitter is the New Black and her notes indicate that her chapter sisters called her Hitler in recruitment and she fined them $100 for not smiling enough.
