Recolonizing
This may be a weird question, but is there a thread for those bringing a chapter of a sorority back from being defunked? I am currently in a colony in the process of reestablishing a chapter and I wanna hear some stories from those who have gone through it.

Oh! Oh! Defunct! I get it! I was scratching my head for a few seconds.
I hope your colony is successful. I am not positive I know what you're asking for, though I'd hazard a guess that any threads about colonies in general would give you lots of good information. How exciting for you; make lots of memories. You and your fellow new members are blazing a trail. so to speak. GOOD LUCK! |
I'm a founding (not rechartering) member of my chapter, which is obviously going to function differently from your organization in a lot of ways, but I think my advice will hold up regardless.
Be cautious about accepting help from alumnae from the defunct chapter. Alumnae can be great, but they can also bring back cultural issues which caused the chapter to go dormant in the first place. |
